Origin story

Solar Frontier Europe GmbH was founded in Munich in 2010 to market the CIS PowerModules, PowerSets and all other products in the Solar Frontier portfolio in all countries of the EMEA region.

At the end of 2017, the Solar Frontier Group made a decision to carry out an organizational restructuring in order to be able to focus more on research and development in order to meet the increased customer expectations and the need for more attractive and efficient solutions in the field of renewable energy.

Solar Frontier Europe today

Solar Frontier Europe has been part of the Japanese Idemitsu Group since 2020 and has been part of its “Renewable Energy Division” since 2022. Its business mandate currently includes the operation of its own systems, support for existing customers and EMEA market observation and research.
